An imported case from Oman infected with COVID-19

VOV.VN - A Vietnamese woman returning from Oman had been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing Vietnam’s coronavirus tally to 1,207, the Ministry of Health said on November 5.

The 33-year-old woman was quarantined in Hanoi’s Thanh Tri District after landed at Noi Bai International Airport from Oman on October 22.

She was tested for COVID-19 by the Hanoi Centre of Disease Control on November 4 with the result coming back positive.

The woman was immediately transferred to Hanoi-based Hospital of Tropical Diseases for quarantine and treatment in Dong Anh District.

As of 06.00am November 5, Vietnam has recorded a total of 1,207 coronavirus cases, including 1,069 recoveries and 35 deaths.

The country has gone through 64 consecutive days without detecting any new locally transmitted coronavirus cases.
