Talks were held after the welcome ceremony. Sweden is now an important partner of Vietnam in Europe. The nordic nation has provided Vietnam with a total of US$3.4 billion in non-refundable aid. Two-way trade turnover in 2018 reached over US$1.8 billion. |

Sweden ranks 34th out of 134 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with 67 valid projects with a total registered capital of US$ 347 million. Business operations of a number of renowned Swedish groups such as Ericson, Electrolux, IKEA, ABB have proved effective in Vietnam. |
