(VOV) - On July 29 , Deputy Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang responded to reporters’ questions on Vietnam’s reaction to the US Department of State’s 2015 Trafficking in Persons Report.
The report has subjective comments, which do not reflect Vietnam’s efforts to fight and prevent trafficking in persons in recent years, she said.
The Vietnam government has been concerned with and has taken specific measures to combat and prevent trafficking in persons.
It has approved the Law on Human Trafficking Prevention and Combat and the National Plan of Action for Human Trafficking for the 2011-2015 period.
Vietnam’s efforts have been acknowledged by many organizations and countries, including the US, the official added.
