NA Standing Committee set to open 49th session on October 12
VOV.VN - The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is scheduled to hold its 49th session in Hanoi from October 12 to October 15, according to information released by the NA Office.
Throughout the session the committee will hold discussions on a number of controversial issues relating to the draft revised law on environmental protection. This is in addition to looking into laws on exports and import tariffs, whilst draft NA resolutions on the settlement of issues relating to land for defence and security purposes will also be put forward. There will also be another NA resolution on the organisation of urban administration in Ho Chi Minh City.
Members will delve into a report on the impact since the implementation of a number of free trade agreements in which the nation is a member. This will be alongside reports relating to the implementation of socio-economic development, State budget, and public investment plans for 2020, and for the 2016 to 2020 period, with draft plans underway for 2021 and beyond.
Most notably, a report regarding the implementation of the economic restructuring plan for the 2016 to 2020 period and another on the realisation of the NA’s Resolution 100/2015/QH13 that granted approval to investment policies to meet the national target of programmes for the 2016 the 2020 period were submitted. Furthermore, a report summarising voters and people’s opinions submitted to the NA’s 10th session will also be among the topics for those put on the table.
Moreover, the NA Standing Committee is also in the process of considering preparations to hold during the upcoming 10th session of the country’s parliament.
