Malaysia, Vietnam review military cooperation
VOV.VN -Sen. Lieut. Gen Phan Van Giang, Chief of the VPA’s General Staff and Deputy Minister of National Defence is leading a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army to visit Malaysia from March 4-6 at the invitation of Chief of Malaysian Army Gen. Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi.
During the visit, both sides will compare notes on international and regional issues of shared concern and review cooperation between the two armies in recent times.
They will also discuss cooperation promotion measures in the time ahead including the implementation of the outcomes of the official visit to Malaysia in 2016 by the Vietnamese Minister of National Defence in order to boost military cooperation in a more effective and substantial basis in line with the two nations' strategic partnership.
