Party leader lauds Vietnam-Cuba ties
VOV.VN - The special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has stood the test of time and has developed well over the years.

Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong made the statement while receiving outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera in Hanoi on November 25.
He hailed both sides’ efforts in organising activities to celebrate 60 years of their diplomatic ties this year, and noted Vietnam and Cuba have been and are always brotherly countries that are ready to share difficulties and assist each other in all circumstances.
The Party leader congratulated Cuba on the progress it has made in realizing its economic development model, as well as in containing the COVID-19 outbreak.
He expressed his belief that Cuba will overcome all difficulties and challenges and successfully hold the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba in April 2021.
He also congratulated the outgoing ambassador on her practical contributions to consolidating and deepening the special friendship between the two Parties and countries.
For her part, the Cuban ambassador thanked Vietnamese leaders as well as ministries, sectors and localities for their heartfelt support during her working term in Vietnam.
She vowed to work hard to strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperative relations between Cuba and Vietnam in the future.
