Do Van Chien re-elected Fatherland Front leader for new term
VOV.VN - Politburo member Do Van Chien, 62, was re-elected president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for the 2024-2029 term at the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi on October 18.

In his speech at the closing ceremony of the congress, Chien vowed to work hard to wholeheartedly implement the assigned tasks and solutions in a coordinated, flexible, and creative manner, to successfully achieve goals set by the Congress.
“We sincerely hope to receive the support and assistance of the elders, comrades, member organizations, and representatives from various social classes and strata, as well as overseas Vietnamese, so that we can fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to us by the Congress,” said the official.
The Congress elected a new Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term, led by Do Van Chien, who is a Politburo member and Party Central Committee Secretary.
Themed “Unity - Democracy - Renewal - Creativity – Development”, the Congress called on all compatriots at home and overseas Vietnamese to uphold the spirit of national unity, self-reliance, and creativity, to successfully implement the 10-year socioeconomic development strategy (2021 - 2030) and achieve the strategic goals for the centennial anniversary of the founding of the modern Vietnamese state, laying a solid foundation for entering a new development era, steadily advancing towards socialism.
