State President arrives in London for King Charles III coronation
VOV.VN - Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong arrived in London on May 4 afternoon to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III of the United Kingdom due to take place on May 6.
Thuong was welcomed at Heathrow airport by representatives of the British Royal Family, Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long, and representatives of Vietnamese expatriates in the UK.
During his stay, the Vietnamese President is scheduled to meet King Charles III and Queen Camilla, leaders of the British government, parliament, and several Cabinet ministers.
He will also meet representatives of leading economic corporations and educational institutions, and friendship organisations that have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam – UK relations.
The UK is Vietnam’s third largest trade partner in Europe. The two sides signed a free trade agreement in December 2020.
