VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a meeting with Philemon Yang, President of the 79th United Nations General Assembly session in Nice, France, on June 9, on the sidelines of the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3).

Chinh congratulated Yang on his comprehensive and insightful opening remarks and reaffirmed Vietnam’s strong support for multilateralism and the UN’s central role in global governance. He expressed Vietnam’s readiness to assist Cameroon in agricultural development and encouraged further Vietnamese investment, including by Vietnamese military-run telecom giant Viettel, in the country.
Yang, for his part, praised Vietnam’s commitment to the UN Charter and its growing contributions to international affairs. He was impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic progress and affirmed support for strengthening Vietnam - Cameroon cooperation, particularly in science, technology, telecommunications, and agriculture.
