Congratulations to Cambodia on Independence Day
VOV.VN - Senior leaders of Vietnam have sent congratulatory messages to their Cambodian counterparts in the celebration of the 71st anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence Day (November 9).
Party General Secretary To Lam sent congratulatory flower arrangements to King Norodom Sihamoni and President of the Cambodian People’s Party, Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
Congratulatory messages were cabled by President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Manet, and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen and National Assembly President Samdech Khuon Sudary.
In their messages, the Vietnamese leaders congratulated Cambodia on the major and significant achievements recorded in recent times, under the wise reign of King Norodom Sihamoni. They also congratulated Cambodia on the successful organization of its elections, the formation of a new government, the maintenance of political stability, and economic development, which have continually elevated Cambodia’s international standing.
As the two neighbouring countries have stood side by side through historical challenges, Vietnam vows to continue to work with Cambodia to preserve and nurture the traditional and friendly relationship between the two Parties, States and people to develop the bilateral relationship in a deeper, more practical, and effective direction, benefiting the people of both countries and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, read the messages.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent a congratulatory message to Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sok Chenda Sophia.
