Cambodia, Vietnam bolster cooperation in military strategic research
VOV.VN - Major General Vu Cuong Quyet, head of the Vietnam Institute for Defence Strategy, held a working session with a delegation of the Department of Military Strategic Research under the General Command of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces led by General Meas Vanna on November 7 in Hanoi.

Major Quyet congratulated Cambodia on its various achievements so far and hailed the fruitful defence co-operation between the two countries over the years, which he said has become one of the most important pillars of Vietnam-Cambodia ties.
He noted that collaboration in strategic research has received great attention from the two Ministries of National Defence and the two militaries.
In response, General Meas Vanna thanked the Ministry of National Defence of Vietnam and the Vietnam People’s Army for their support of the Ministry of National Defence and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces over the years.
He said he believes that the solidarity between the two militaries will continue to be further strengthened moving forward.
The working session saw both sides discuss the current security and political situation in the region and the wider world, serving their performance in conducting research and offering strategic advice.
They also evaluated the outcomes of co-operation activities and orientations for further collaboration, thereby contributing to further boosting their relations as well as the promotion of the Vietnam-Cambodian defence partnership.
