Vietnamese leaders’ major overseas visits in 2023 in the spotlight

President Vo Van Thuong leads a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to Laos on April 10-11, 2023. This is his first foreign visit after he took on his new position, demonstrating Vietnam’s consistent policy of always giving the highest priority to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation with Laos. During this visit, Thuong affirms that Vietnam will actively support Laos in successfully undertake international responsibilities in the coming time, including the role of ASEAN Chairmanship 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pays an official visit to Laos on January 11 - 12.
