Party chief attends 32nd diplomatic conference’s opening ceremony
VOV.VN - The 32nd diplomatic conference opened on December 19 in Hanoi amid the presence of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The event is held biennially, with the diplomatic conference both reviewing and evaluating the results of the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress. This is along with proposing key missions, tasks, and measures which need to be rolled out in time to the end of the 13th term and over the following years.
The conference will look at a number of major foreign affairs issues, further contributing to summing up 40 years of implementing the Doi moi (Renewal) process, as well as solutions which build a strong, professional, comprehensive, and modern diplomatic sector.
High-ranking officials visit an exhibition detailing the various achievements of the diplomatic sector over recent years before the conference begins.
Representatives of the nation’s overseas representative agencies and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs join the event.
The conference seeks to propose key foreign affairs tasks in the coming period, thereby continuing to affirm the pioneering role of diplomacy as part of national development.
