In just few hours, several outlying and inner districts such as My Duc, Ung Hoa, Hoang Mai, Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung and Dong Da have received between 50 and 200mm of rain.
The Hanoi Sewerage and Drainage Company has decided to open gates into its detention basins and operate its pumping stations to ease pressure in the inner area.

The heavy rain has turned Duong Dinh Nghe road in Cau Giay District into a river.
