Hanoi Lung Hospital put in lockdown to control COVID-19 pandemic

Hanoi Lung Hospital goes into lockdown after 21 patients, two caregivers, and six healthcare workers are diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The authorities of Hai Ba Trung district put the hospital into lockdown for 14 days in an effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanh Nhan road, where Hanoi Lung Hospital is located, is also blocked as part of containment efforts.

Local authorities have also begun the process of tracing all patients who have been discharged from the hospital since July 6.

By 10:30 a.m. on July 26 Hanoi Lung Hospital records a total of 29 people who have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The hospital stops receiving visitors from 6 p.m. on July 25 to halt any additional spread of the virus.

All patients, caregivers, doctors, and nurses are requested not to leave the site due to the potential risk they pose to the community.

All positive COVID-19 cases are put into an isolation area on the night of July 25.

Barriers are erected on roads leading towards Hanoi Lung Hospital.

All residential areas surrounding the hospital have also been put under lockdown.

COVID-19 control measures are tightened around Thanh Nhan Hospital, the site direcetly next to Hanoi Lung Hospital.
