Grand parade rehearsal ahead of Reunification Day celebration

VOV.VN - On April 18 evening, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, and Ho Chi Minh City coordinated a full rehearsal for the military parade and procession, involving the armed forces and people, in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and National Reunification (1975-2025).

The first joint rehearsal of military and police forces takes place on Le Duan Street in HCM City ahead of the 50th Reunification Day celebration.

The event witnesses the presence of Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, along with other officials.

The rehearsal program consists of two parts: the ceremonial and ritual section and the parade and march section.

The event involves 25 units from the army and self-defence forces, and 13 units from the people's police. In addition to the marching and parade units, there are also 13 units from the army, self-defence forces, and police.

The second practice session is set for the evening of April 22, followed by a preliminary rehearsal on April 25 and a final rehearsal on April 27.
