Da Nang city’s streets were ablaze with hundreds of young Japanese volunteers joining a crowd of local youngsters in a motorcycle helmet awareness parade on October 1.

The campaign aims to encourage local road users to wear helmets.

The Japanese volunteers had arrived in the central city on September 30 aboard the Peace Boat. During their stay in Da Nang, the Peace Boat passengers will take part in cultural and art performances and tour the Ngu Hanh Son (five marble mountains) and the Cham culture museum.
