TH Group invests US$1 billion in Russia
The TH Group has recently announced plans to invest US$1 billion in building a concentrated dairy cow and fresh milk production project in Russia.
The large-scale project has received the active support of the Russian Government and relevant authorities, according to Ms. Thai Huong, Chairman of the TH Group.
The project will be implemented in three stages, to 2025.
In the first stage, from 2015 to 2016, TH plans to develop three clusters of dairy farms and a fresh milk processing plant with around 20,000 heads and a daily capacity of 800 tonnes.
In the second phase, from 2017 to 2019, the group will build a further six clusters of dairy farms and another fresh milk processing plant with 100,000 heads and a daily capacity of 1,700 tonnes.
Its third phase, from 2020 to 2025, will see the building of 12 more clusters of dairy farms and another fresh milk processing plant.
TH Group currently operates three joint stock companies: TH Milk Food, TH Milk, and the TH Food Chain, with 29 milk products.
