A man from central Binh Dinh province’s Phu Cat district presented an endangered grey-shanked langur (Pyathrixcinereus) to Phu Cat District’s Forestry Ranger Station on Nov. 1.

Diep Van Nien said he bought the animal from a local youth group in his district. The Forestry Ranger Station said it will deliver the animal to Cuc Phuong National Park.

The animal, listed as an endangered species in the World Red Book, is the 17th langur discovered in Binh Dinh province.
