Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports rebound strongly in June
VOV.VN - Vietnam raked in US$807 million from fruit and vegetable exports in June, up nearly 31% from May and 20% from a year ago, according to Vietnam Customs.

The strong growth helped drive the total export value of the products in the first six months of the year to US$3.1 billion. However, this figure still reflects a 7% drop compared to the same period in 2024, due to a significant downturn in the first five months of the year.
Frozen durian exports emerged as a major growth driver. According to Dang Phuc Nguyen, general Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit), the number of frozen durian export shipments reached 388, equivalent to 14,282 tonnes in the first half of the year, triple the volume exported in June 2024.
Coconuts also stood out as a strong performer amid rising global demand. Vietnam’s coconut export revenue hit US$216.3 million in the first half, representing a 40.1% year-on-year increase, as prices surged from US$1.21/kg in 2022 to US$7.26/kg this year, according to the Vietnam Coconut Association (VCA).
CVA reported that the six-month export of coconuts brought in US$216.3 million in value, marking an annual increase of 40.1%.
In terms of markets, China remained the largest importer, accounting for 48.2% of Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export turnover, followed by the United States at 9% and the Republic of Korea at 5.7%.
