Vietnamese tech firms take local innovations global
VOV.VN - At the Sao Khue Awards ceremony, Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) Chairman has affirmed that Vietnamese tech enterprises are no longer confined to the domestic market, but are taking Vietnamese intelligence global.

On the morning of April 19, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held the 2025 Sao Khue Awards Ceremony, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
With 198 outstanding digital products, services and solutions across nine categories, the 2025 edition highlights the breakthroughs of Vietnam’s IT sector and its alignment with the goal of raising the digital economy’s contribution to 20% of GDP by 2025.
The awards honored include: five outstanding digital transformation solutions for government and public administration; 19 top products in the community and citizen category; 34 outstanding entries promoting business governance; 11 digital transformation solutions in the economic-industrial sector; 29 standout solutions in market and consumer sectors; 26 notable digital platforms and infrastructures; 11 innovation products; 42 new software and service offerings; and 21 pioneering digital service solutions.
From among the awardees, the judging panel also selected top candidates in each field for the prestigious 5-star rating, recognizing superior performance in technology, economic efficiency, and social impact. This year, 25 entries received the 5-star rating, setting a new record for the most 5-star awards in the history of the Sao Khue program.
In particular, based on an enhanced evaluation framework, the panel selected the Top 10 Sao Khue 2025, its most prestigious category. This year, nine products and services made the list, leading in areas such as insurance/securities/investment, fintech, digital accessibility, digital transformation services, data digitization, digital banking, smart devices, IT system management, and education and training.

According to the jury, smart business management solutions that enhance efficiency and competitiveness remain the most frequently awarded and submitted category. This year, 34 services and solutions in this group offered comprehensive support for all aspects of enterprise governance, helping streamline processes and improve competitiveness.
Vietnamese tech firms have been quick to develop and deploy a range of AI agents tailored to specific business functions, from accounting and HR to sales, administration, and production. Concrete results include: Ajinomoto cutting 85% of paperwork, reducing approval time by 70%, and halving human errors after just six months of using Tasken eOffice; Flamingo Redtours reducing order processing time by 40% and HR costs by 25% thanks to digital transformation; MISA assisting 18,000 business households with accounting and tax filing; and Uong Bi Thermal Power along with TNTech Group saving billions of VND through advanced predictive maintenance systems.
A surge in AI-driven research and application is clearly visible: all 54 entries in the new product and innovation group integrated AI from the outset. More than a trend, GenAI is redefining the nature of digital services and ushering Vietnam into a phase of “knowledge-based growth” instead of reliance on resources or low-cost labor.
In addition, a number of award-winning solutions have been integrated into the VNeID system and digital payment platforms by enterprises and banks, helping prevent hundreds of thousands of cyber attacks, protect over 100 million mobile devices, cut device failure rates from 20% to 5%, boost productivity by 30–50%, and reduce costs by 20–40%.
