VietJet Air, Safran sign agreement on fuel efficiency solutions
Low-cost carrier VietJet and Safran Group have signed an agreement for the supply of fuel efficiency solutions during the Paris Airshow 2017 in France.

The SFCO2 solutions combine the expertise of Safran Aircraft Engines - one of the world’s leading aero-engine manufacturers - with the experience of Safran Electronics and Defense in flight data analysis.
As an important component of VietJet’s fuel efficiency programme, Safran’s SFCO2 service will enable the carrier to meet its fuel consumption efficiency objectives and business targets at the same time, VietJet Vice President Dinh Viet Phuong said at the signing ceremony.
Francois Planaud, Safran Deputy Director General said Safran’s SFCO2 service can help reduce VietJet’s fuel consumption by up to 5%. Accordingly, the fuel expense saved yearly is expected to reach tens of millions of USD.
