Trend Micro commits to invest in cybersecurity in Vietnam

Despite paying more attention and investing more in security, Vietnam is still one of the Southeast Asian countries suffering the most cyberattacks, and leading global cybersecurity firm Trend Micro is arriving to lend a hand.

According to Trend Micro, the most dangerous security threats in Vietnam include ransomware, banking malware, macro malware, and email threats. In particular, the banking sector is the most targeted by cybercriminals. In 2018, Vietnam was among the top three countries with the most cyberattacks around the world.

As security attacks are becoming increasingly complex, diverse, and dangerous, there is no other way but for the units, organisations, companies, and even individuals themselves to stay aware and protect their information with the most modern and suitable cybersecurity solutions.

As a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, with over 30 years of experience of ensuring the safety for the most complex systems such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Office 365, Dropbox, and others, Trend Micro deeply understands the dangerous consequences of cyberattacks.

“To cope with information security risks, not only do we need to find solutions to resolve cyber attacks, we must also always be ahead of hackers, anticipating and researching the most flexible solution to stop any attack,” said Jaruwan Roekphichayayothin, country manager of Trend Micro Vietnam.

Trend Micro invests in deep development in Vietnam

With the aim of providing businesses with the most comprehensive solutions to prevent threats and cyberattacks in the digital era, Trend Micro has been constantly investing in researching and creating core technology solutions, products, and services to ensure that customers will always have the best security solution regardless of the platform they use.

Trend Micro has taken a series of actions to invest more in Vietnam and help out with its growing cybersecurity agenda, by continuously organising the SecurityTRENDs annual seminars on cybersecurity, as well as building and expanding its systems with experienced senior personnel and reputable experts in the field. Most recently, Trend Micro has bolstered its leadership team in Vientam with a new head of sales operations to reconfirm its commitment and support the surging domestic demand for cybersecurity.

Supporting Vietnam’s organisations in taking a secure ride with confidence in today's digital transformation, Trend Micro Vietnam has appointed Hoang Nguyen as sales director for Vietnam, taking responsibility for all of Trend Micro's sales activities in Vietnam. With 14 years of experience in the field, Hoang has worked in a lot of positions from consulting engineer, sales manager to sales executive at leading cybersecurity companies.

In this position, Hoang will utilise all her experience, capacity, and understanding to make Trend Micro the leading cybersecurity brand in Vietnam with long-term strategic development commitments. Accordingly, Trend Micro will focus on building a healthy eco-channel partner system and strongly support partners in all aspects to promote Trend Micro's presence in the market. In addition, Trend Micro will focus on accompanying and supporting Vietnamese customers vertically to enhance cybersecurity and protect the critical and sensitive data of customers.

“Our goal is to make Trend Micro the first choice of our customers when thinking about comprehensive data protection solutions via email, terminals, servers, cloud services, and network systems on a single platform or through management services,” Hoang emphasised.
