Seminar talks ways to promote Vietnamese products in digital age

VOV.VN - Experts discussed ways to promote Vietnamese goods in the digital age through e-commerce during a seminar held by Cong Thuong (Industry and Trade) Newspaper on November 22.

The more than 10-year journey of the program "National E-commerce Week and Vietnam Online Shopping Day - Online Friday" has contributed to promoting the continuous breakthrough of Vietnamese e-commerce.

Vietnam represents one of the countries with an average e-commerce growth rate of 25% per year, among the top level compared to other countries in Southeast Asia.

The e-commerce retail market reached an estimated US$20.5 billion in 2023, while the number of online shoppers is currently exceeding 61 million and the online shopping value of one person stands at roughly US$336.

Amid current international economic integration coupled with the rapid and dynamic development of e-commerce, the country will continue to become a new destination for cross-border e-commerce platforms.

At the event, major talking points focused on the vision for sustainable e-commerce development, opportunities for Vietnamese goods to be exported to international markets through e-commerce platforms, and opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to develop sustainably moving into the new era.
