The Kian Joo Canpack Vietnam Co, Ltd, a Malaysian-Japanese joint venture, has started production at a new drinks plant in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Covering 30,000sq.m in the My Phuoc 2 Industrial Zone in Ben Cat district, the US$18-million factory, equipped with modern Japanese technologies and production lines, will turn out various types of canned drinks, energy drinks and fruit juice.

According to a Kian Joo official, in the near future, the company plans to build two more production lines at the factory in Binh Duong and another similar factory in Hanoi.

The joint venture is between Malaysia’s Kian Joo and Japan’s Nihon Canpack, and is their third factory in Vietnam.
