MEET DANANG 2025 to promote cooperation with cities globally

Accordingly, the event will attract the participation of a number of mayors from international sister cities, ambassadors, consuls general, representatives from international organisations, and representative leaders from the Vietnamese Government.

The forum offers Da Nang a unique opportunity to celebrate numerous achievements recorded in multilateral co-operation whilst expanding ties in key areas such as innovation, smart cities, advanced technology, urban planning, and sustainable tourism.

As the city’s first diplomatic event of the year, the function aims to strengthen friendships and foster new collaborations between Da Nang and its global partners.

The forum will consist of a series of bilateral working sessions between city leaders and partners, including two thematic sessions on international cooperation to promote business investment and take advantage of new trends, as well as focusing on international cooperation to promote tourism development.

A number of exhibitions on cooperation, a series of cultural discovery activities, and a friendship tree planting will also be held within the framework of the event.

Currently, Da Nang has established partnerships with 49 localities from 22 countries and territories through 105 signed agreements. In addition, the city's active economic diplomacy efforts have helped to open up new breakthroughs in economic, science-technology, culture, education and training, defence, and security cooperation.

As of October 2024, Da Nang had attracted 1,011 projects with a total investment capital of more than US$4.35 billion.
