Fruit-vegetable export value surpasses US$2.1 billion
Fruit-vegetable exports in 11 months of 2016 earned US$2.178 billion, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

The MARD said the value for November alone was US$186 million.
China is the largest market for Vietnamese vegetables and fruits, accounting for 70.4%, followed by the Republic of Korea with 3.6%, the United States 3.4%, and Japan 3.1%.
In the period, Vietnam spent US$814 million on imported vegetables and fruits, up 44% against the same period last year.
Thailand is the largest exporter of fruit to Vietnam, making up 44% of the country’s total import of the products, followed by China with 23%.
