Forum promotes Vietnam-Poland economic ties
(VOV) - More than 50 Polish businesses attended a forum in Hanoi on June 11 to sound out Vietnam’s investment environment and seek partnerships.
Addressing the Vietnam-Poland Economic Forum, Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Under-secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed that Polish businesses want not only to expand trade ties but also explore investment opportunities in Vietnam.
He affirmed Polish businesses operate efficiently in agricultural products and food processing, mining and mining equipment supply, infrastructure development (transport infrastructure), and pharmaceutical and medical equipment supply and production. In addition, they own advanced technologies and high quality products at competitive prices.
Vietnam is an exciting and attractive destination for Polish businesses, she asserted.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa said Vietnam-Poland multifaceted cooperation has developed well but it has yet to match the two countries’ potential and 60-year traditional friendship.
The two sides should accelerate economic ties to create new cooperative opportunities in the future, Thoa said.
Currently, Vietnam is shifting its labour force from agriculture to industry and processing and is calling for investment in these fields which play to Polish strengths, she said
At the forum, Vietnamese and Polish businesses discussed fields of mutual concern, including finance, insurance, seaport, information technology, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, food, confectionary, beverage, high tech, power generation, renewable energy, environment treatment technology and equipment, railway transport, mining, cosmetics and consultancy.
The Vietnamese community in Poland makes up around 60,000, who help boost bilateral economic and trade ties.
