Reception celebrates Vietnam-China diplomatic relations
(VOV) - The Vietnam Consulate General in Hong Kong on January 15 held a reception at the Upper House Hotel marking the 66th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and China.
The event was attended by Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau Hoang Chi Trung, Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hong Kong Song Zhe along with hundreds of guests from all walks of life.
Consul General Trung said in a speech that Vietnam and China were close friends and good partners. The two sides have forged bilateral ties from a strategic and long-term perspective and carried out win-win cooperation in keeping with their national development strategies.

Most importantly, Trung said the two sides have found an innovative path of mutual learning and benefit. They should review and carry forward the friendly and cooperative ties of the past 66 years and act in a spirit of ‘following the tradition’ to push for greater progress.
Commissioner Song Zhe in turn echoed Trung’s sentiments saying the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China have developed strongly and deeply, bringing about practical benefits for the peoples of both nations.
