Young men compete in lucky ball scrambling festival
VOV.VN - Young men in Thuy Linh village, Hoang Mai district, Ha Noi competed in the locality’s traditional ‘lucky ball’ scrambling festival on February 2 (the sixth day of the first lunar month).

The festival is held to commemorate Linh Lang Highest Royal, who is the fourth son of King Ly Thanh Tong. |

The centuries-old sporting event demonstrates the strength, intelligence and resilience of the players. |

Players are divided into three age groups namely children, teenagers and adults. The biggest ball for adults is weighted up 25kg. |

Eight players, wearing coloured belts, are divided into four teams to scramble for the ball. |

The teams compete to bring the ball which is made of jack-fruit wood to their respective flag-hole. |
