Vietnamese representative wins first runner-up at Miss Eco Teen International
VOV.VN - Anna Hoang, 14, was awarded the first runner-up title at the Miss Eco Teen International 2023 pageant, with the grand finale of the competition held on November 3 in Egypt.
In addition to this recognition, she won the most favourite contestant sub-title. Anna Hoang hails from Hai Phong, although her parents settled in the UK back in 2004. She was subsequently born in 2005 and went on to be crowned Little Miss Asia Pacific in 2018 when she was just nine.
The youngster has worked as a model for many fashion magazines and even modelled at London Fashion Week.
Hoang and her close friends founded an Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) fashion brand for children back in 2019 and a fund for charity activities. In addition, she has also taken part in many cultural exchange activities between the nation and the UK.
She was named the winner of Miss Eco Teen Vietnam 2023, which was held virtually, before going on to represent Vietnam at Miss Eco Teen International.
Enhle Mdakane of South Africa was ultimately crowned Miss Eco Teen International 2023, with the second, third, and fourth runners-up spots going to the representatives of Indonesia, the Netherlands, and China.
Miss Eco Teen International is an international beauty contest that aims to empower youth, create greater self-awareness, and make an impact through the theme of protecting the environment.
The event brings together teens from all over the world with the primary goal of selecting the next Teen Queen to represent teenagers globally, while also promoting environmental responsibility.
This marks the second time that the country has sent a representative to compete for the Miss Eco Teen International title. The 2021 version saw Vietnamese representative Bella Vu beat over 60 global contestants to bring home the Miss Eco Teen International title for the first time.
