The Vietnamese contestant made a remarkable impression in the grand finale not only with her radiant presence and confident demeanor but also through her fluent English communication and inspiring life philosophy.

During the Q&A portion, her compelling answer touched the hearts of both the judges and the international audience when she was asked what stereotype about married women or mothers she hoped to challenge.

“Tonight, by standing on this stage, I want to break the stereotype that women, once married or after becoming mothers, no longer have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. On the contrary, marriage and motherhood have made me stronger, more profound, and full of love. I believe that women can care for their families, build successful careers, and still shine brightly in their own unique way. I am here to prove that being a wife or a mother does not mean losing oneself, it means continuing an inspiring journey, filled with confidence, grace, and determination.”

Nguyen Thi Thua, born in 1989, is 1.72 meters tall and weighs 60 kilograms. She currently works at the Department of Information and Statistics under the Ministry of Science and Technology. A former student of Thai Nguyen University, she holds a Master’s degree from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Management at University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

She was crowned Mrs. Grand Vietnam 2025 less than a month ago.

Mrs. Grand International is a global beauty pageant for married women. With its strong message of anti-war, peace promotion, women’s rights advocacy, and the fight against violence and gender inequality, the pageant is held annually in countries such as Thailand, Canada, the Philippines, the US, attracting contestants from around the world.

Vietnam’s first winner of the crown was Phan Kim Oanh, who earned the title Mrs. Grand International 2022. Oanh made history when she was invited by pageant president Khun Hset Han to retain her crown for another year, becoming the first queen in the contest’s history to serve two consecutive terms (2022–2023), thanks to her impactful advocacy and influence.

Following in her footsteps, Nguyen Thi Thua’s victory marks a proud new milestone for Vietnamese pageantry and highlights the defining qualities of the modern Vietnamese woman: courage, intelligence, and a deep commitment to contributing to the greater good of the community and the world.
