Over 60 cultural activities to be held at Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023
VOV.VN - More than 60 creative cultural activities are due to take place during the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023, slated to run from November 17 to 26, heard a press conference in Hanoi on November 13.
Addressing the event, Do Dinh, director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, emphasised that the festival is expected offer an opportunity to visitors to experience new tourism products and services that used to be part of the capital’s industrial heritage.
The highlight of this year's festival will be a new creative cultural complex at the Gia Lam Train Factory on the outskirts of Hanoi which is expected to attract young people. The complex will feature a steam locomotive made in Vietnam that is considered the pride of Vietnam Railways in the 1970s-80s.
As planned, more than 60 cultural activities will be held during the festival, including photo exhibitions, seminars, and international workshops.
Furthermore, a number of community events and creative fairs will take place at several main locations throughout the Old Quarter, including Gia Lam Train Factory, Hang Dau water tower, Van Xuan flower garden, Long Bien Railway Station, and Gia Lam Railway Station.
The Hanoi Creative Design Festival is an annual activity which takes place in the capital with the aim of implementing initiatives to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, promoting local cultural industry development, and affirming the city’s pioneering position in integrating with international creative economic trends.
