Painter Nguyen Doan Ninh was born in 1975. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts in 1998. Ninh often paints about his dreams, in which humans and things beautifully entangle.
His paintings rarely tell stories, instead, they mainly reflect his worries about the ephemerality of the living world and the uncertainties of human life.
In recent years, zodiac animals have provided a wealth of inspiration for Ninh whenever Tet arrives. This is the first time he has painted tigers. The more he studies tigers, the more he loves painting them.
There are 48 paintings in his collection this year, which is his age. Ninh depicts tigers as the majestic lord of the jungle and at times a warm-hearted nurturer.
