Lan Vy crowned Little Miss Universe 2018

VOV.VN - Vietnamese representative Ngoc Lan Vy, 13, was announced as the winner of the Little Miss Universe pageant at the grand finale held in Turkey recently.

Ngoc Lan Vy defeated thousands of contestants from 60 countries through 2 months of competition, before triumphing over 30 finalists in the grand finale to become the first Vietnamese representative to be crowned Little Miss Universe.
Throughout its 17 years, the pageant has become a world famous contest for children.
Lan Vy, 13, is 1.72 meters tall. She won the hearts of more than 20 jury members to take the Little Miss Universe crown. Not just the first Vietnamese winner, she is also the first Asian girl to have won the pageant title.
Vy said after winning the top position in Little Miss & Mr. Eurasia 2017, she wants to challenge herself at a higher level, so she decided to compete in Little Miss Universe 2018. She hoped she would get the chance to show her talents and help international friends learn more about Vietnamese children.
Lan Vy said she burst into tears when her name was called out as the winner, she was so happy when her dream came true.
Vy said the two months have been an unforgettable journey for her, the beauty contest helped her meet many international friends.
 
 
 
During her time as the face of Little Miss Universe, Lan Vy will attend to activities of the organizing board to protect children’s rights around the world and promote images of Vietnamese children to the world.
