During the semi-final night, Van and the other contestants took part in three segments - the bikini, evening gown, and national costume.

One of her highlights was the national costume performance, where she showcased the outfit Miền đá nở hoa (The Blooming Stone Region), inspired by the Khen panpipe dance and the umbrella of the Mong ethnic people. The costume featured vibrant pink hues symbolizing the wild peach blossoms of the Northwest mountains, representing resilience and natural beauty.

With experience as a professional model, the Vietnamese representative put in an impressive performance, receiving plenty of compliments from the judges and audience.

Following the semifinals, several renowned beauty pageant platforms, including Queen Crow News, Coronas Universales Pageants, and Reias Grand Slams, predicted that Nhu Van could win the Miss Global 2024 crown. Meanwhile, the prestigious Missosology platform forecast that she would finish as the second Runner-Up.

The final night is expected to take place on March 9 evening.

Born in Da Lat city, Nhu Van, stands at 1.74 metres tall and measures 90-63-91.

She was the first runner-up in The New Mentor reality television series in 2023. Van has also acquired experience as a coach in several beauty pageants and reality television shows, including Miss Vietnam, Miss World Vietnam, and The Next Gentleman 2024.

Vietnam has previously sent several contenders to this beauty contest. Most recently, Doan Thu Thuy finished fourth at Miss Global 2023, held in Cambodia on January 18.
