The event, jointly organised by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Thai Consulate General, will include matches in six weight categories ranging from 54kg to 60kg for men and 48kg-63kg for women.

The Thais said they would send their strongest fighters to take part in the competition.
