Foreign films registered for HANIFF
(VOV) -More than 200 have been registered by 40 countries for 2nd Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) from November 25-29.
Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Head of the HANIFF organizing board, said they will be carefully selected from three running tests.
HANIFF awards will be given to 9-11 films which have not attended similar festivals in the Asia-Pacific region before.
Other films focused on unique themes will also be screened like the Panorama series of 20 international blockbusters, including Amour directed by Michael Haneke, which won the 2012 Golden Palm Awards from Austria and We Need to Talk About Kevin which was nominated for the 2011 Golden Globe.
Participants will also have the chance to see Asian documentaries, Japanese cartoons, and popular films from France and the Republic of Korean (RoK) and meet some famous Korean stars.
