Exhibition on Vietnam diaries through Mongolian masters’ paintings
VOV.VN - More than 70 paintings and sculptures by renowned Mongolian artists capturing the spirit and beauty of Vietnam are currently on display at the Mongol Art Gallery in Ulaanbaatar, marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s southern liberation and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025).

The exhibition, organised by the Embassy of Vietnam in Mongolia, showcases rare and historically significant artworks created by Mongolian masters who visited Vietnam between 1958 and 1980.
From delicate pencil sketches to vibrant watercolours and expressive sculptures, the collection offers a rich visual narrative of Vietnam’s landscapes, daily life, and the enduring friendship between the two countries.
Speaking at the opening, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Nguyen Tuan Thanh emphasised the significance of the 1958–1980 period in Vietnamese history. He noted that the artworks go beyond artistic beauty, as they reflect key historical milestones in Vietnam’s journey of national construction and development.
He also highlighted the valuable support Vietnam received from the Mongolian government and people during that time.
He expressed hope that the Mongolian people and tourists would gain a greater understanding about Vietnam through the exhibition.
The event began on April 21 and will last through to April 24.
