Domesco Dong Thap has taken lead in the second International Women’s Cycling Race (Biwase Cup 2012), which concluded in southern Binh Duong province on March 14.
The runners-up were Can Tho and Dong Thap Pharmaceutical. Hosts Binh Duong ranked fifth, followed by international guests from Malaysia.
The tournament’s yellow jersey went to Nguyen Thi Thi from An Giang 2 Plant Protection team.
The total prize money, amounting to over VND270 million, was awarded to yellow, green and white jersey winners and the best teams.
The six-day event drew the participation of 56 cyclists from 11 teams coming from Vietnam and Malaysia. They competed in seven stages totalling 680km in length through six southern provinces and cities.
