The China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has signed a contract with the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport for the construction of nine bridges on Highway No.1 between the  two southern provinces of Can Tho and Ca Mau.

The US$35 million contract will be implemented with loans from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Construction work will begin in February 2007 and be completed in two years.
